User Data Deletion
Effective Date: September 19, 2026 · Last updated: September 19, 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of data that EVM LLC ("EVM", "we", "us") holds about you, including data obtained through connected advertising platforms such as Meta Platforms, Google, and LinkedIn. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. How to request deletion
Send a deletion request to effectivevisibilitymarketing@gmail.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request.
To help us locate your records, please include whichever of the following apply:
- The email address or phone number you used when you contacted us or submitted a form.
- The website or business the request relates to, if you interacted with a site we operate for a client.
- The advertising platform involved, if you know it (for example Meta, Google, or LinkedIn).
You may also call (515) 321-7425 or write to us at 2405 Leigh Ln, Cedar Falls, IA 50613, United States.
2. What happens next
- We acknowledge every request within 5 business days.
- We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not delete someone else's data on an unverified request.
- We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. If a request is unusually complex we will tell you before that window closes and give you a revised date.
- We confirm in writing once deletion is complete, and we tell you plainly if any data had to be retained and why.
3. What we delete
On a verified request we delete the personal information we hold about you, including:
- Contact details and form submissions you sent us.
- Records in our customer relationship management system that identify you.
- Advertising and analytics identifiers we hold that are linked to you, including first-party pixel identifiers and hashed identifiers used for server-side conversion measurement.
- Lead records obtained from advertising platforms on behalf of a client, where we act as the processor of that data.
4. What we may need to keep
We will tell you if any of the following applies to your request:
- Legal and tax records. Invoices and transaction records that we are required by law to retain.
- Security and fraud records. Limited logs kept to protect our systems and the systems of our clients.
- Data held by a client, not by us. Where a client of ours is the controller of your data and we only process it on their behalf, we will delete it from our systems and refer you to that client for records held directly by them. We will tell you who they are.
We do not retain anything beyond these narrow cases in order to keep marketing to you.
5. Data obtained through the Meta Marketing APIs
EVM builds and operates an application on the Meta Developer Platform that we use to create and manage advertising campaigns on behalf of clients who have authorized us to manage their accounts. Through the Meta Marketing API and the Conversions API we may access and process:
- Advertising account data such as campaigns, ad sets, ads, creatives, audience definitions, and performance reporting, for accounts a client has granted our application access to.
- Custom audience definitions and the events that populate them, including website activity measured by a first-party pixel on a site we operate for that client.
- Hashed identifiers, such as a hashed email address or phone number, used to attribute a conversion to an advertising click. These are hashed with SHA-256 before transmission and we do not receive them back from Meta in readable form.
- Lead form responses, where a client runs instant forms and has authorized us to retrieve them.
Our handling of this data is governed by the Meta Business Tools Terms and the Meta Platform Terms:
- Use limitation. We use data obtained through the Meta APIs only to operate advertising for the specific client account it was obtained for. We do not use it to build our own marketing lists, and we do not use the data of one client to benefit another.
- No sale or unauthorized transfer. We do not sell data obtained through the Meta APIs, and we do not transfer it to any third party except a service provider acting on our instructions under contract.
- Retention. We retain advertising and conversion records only as long as needed to report on and optimize the campaigns they belong to, or as long as a client instructs us to, whichever is shorter.
- Deletion on request. We delete data obtained through the Meta APIs on request from you, from the client who controls it, or from Meta.
- Client revocation. A client may remove access for our application to their assets at any time from their own Meta Business Settings, without contacting us first. Doing so stops any further access immediately.
6. Deleting data held by the advertising platforms themselves
Some data about you is held by the advertising platforms directly, under their own privacy policies, and is not ours to delete. You can manage that data here:
- Meta: Accounts Center, Your information and permissions, and Ad Preferences.
- Google: My Activity and My Ad Center.
- LinkedIn: Data privacy settings.
7. Your other rights
Deletion is one of several rights you may have. Depending on where you live, you may also request access to your data, correction of it, a portable copy, or restriction of how it is processed. Those rights, including the specific provisions that apply to California and to EU and UK residents, are set out in our Privacy Policy.
We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
