Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 8, 2026 · Last updated: July 8, 2026

EVM LLC ("EVM", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website at https://effectivevisibilitymarketing.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have about your information.

By visiting our Site or contacting us through the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Who we are

EVM LLC (EVM LLC) is a Limited Liability Company organized under the laws of the State of Iowa, with its principal place of business at:

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

When you fill out a contact form on our Site, request a quote, or email us, we collect the information you submit. Typically this includes:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Company name (optional)
  • The content of your inquiry or message

2.2 Information we collect automatically

When you visit our Site, our hosting provider and any analytics tools we use may automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring URL
  • General geographic location (city / region level)

We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement on this Site. This includes a first-party analytics and advertising pixel that we operate ourselves, described in Sections 2.3 and 2.4 below. Where required by law, we will present a cookie or consent notice and honor your choices.

2.3 First-party tracking pixel and analytics cookies

We operate our own first-party analytics and advertising-measurement pixel (the "EVM Pixel", loaded on this Site as evm-pixel.js), alongside Google Analytics 4 and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. These technologies are active on the Site now. Through them we, and the advertising partners whose campaigns you interacted with, collect:

  • A first-party visitor ID stored in a cookie named evm_vid (retained for up to 2 years) and mirrored in your browser's local storage, plus a short-lived per-visit session ID. This ID is set on our own domain, not on a third-party domain.
  • Page views and navigation, including page path, page URL, page title, referring URL, and timestamp, both on initial load and on in-app (single-page) navigation.
  • Custom and conversion events (for example a form submission, a call-link click, or a booked appointment), together with any value and currency associated with that event.
  • Marketing attribution parameters in the URL you arrive on, including UTM tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, utm_id).
  • Advertising click identifiers passed by ad platforms, including LinkedIn (li_fat_id), Google (gclid, wbraid, gbraid), Meta (fbclid), Microsoft (msclkid), TikTok (ttclid), X / Twitter (twclid), and Pinterest (epik).
  • Your Google Analytics client ID and GA4 session ID, so our visitor records can be stitched together with our Google Analytics measurement.
  • Technical signals that our collector derives and stores in hashed form only, including a salted one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address and a hash of your browser's user-agent string. We do not store your raw IP address in these pixel records.

The EVM Pixel is a first-party technology that we host and control. You can limit or block it as described in Section 8 (Your rights).

2.4 Server-side conversion tracking and hashed identifiers (Conversions API)

To measure advertising accurately, we also use server-side conversion tracking (commonly called a Conversions API). When you submit a form, book a call, or otherwise identify yourself, your browser sends the details you provided (such as your email address and, if given, phone number and name) over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our own collector. Our collector immediately converts your email and phone number into a one-way SHA-256 hash and stores ONLY that hash. We do not store or log your raw email address or phone number in these tracking records.

We then use these hashed identifiers, together with the conversion event, its value, and the associated advertising click IDs, to send server-side conversion signals to the advertising platforms whose campaigns you interacted with (for example the LinkedIn Conversions API, Google, Meta, TikTok, and Microsoft). A shared event ID lets the browser pixel and the server-side event be matched and de-duplicated so a single action is not counted twice. Because the identifiers are hashed before they are shared, the platforms cannot read your raw email address or phone number from them.

2.5 Information from third parties

If you reach us through a third-party platform (LinkedIn, Google Business, a referral partner, etc.), we may receive information that platform shares with us, such as your name, public profile information, and the inquiry you sent.

2.6 Payment information

When you pay for our services through this Site, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor (the highest level of payment-card security certification).

Card and bank information you submit goes directly to Stripe through Stripe's secure, encrypted Checkout page or Elements. EVM does not see, store, or have access to your full card number, CVC, or bank account number at any time. What we do receive from Stripe is:

  • The last 4 digits of your card and the card brand (e.g. "Visa ending 4242")
  • The card expiration month and year
  • Your billing name, billing address, and email
  • A Stripe customer ID and transaction ID
  • The amount, currency, and status of the transaction

All payment data is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS) and encrypted at rest by Stripe. For Stripe's own privacy practices, see https://stripe.com/privacy.

If you contact us about a charge, please do not send your full card number by email. Reference the last 4 digits and the date of the transaction instead.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request
  • Send proposals, quotes, contracts, and follow-up communications
  • Deliver the marketing services we have been engaged to provide (paid ads, SEO, AI agents, custom development, etc.)
  • Operate, maintain, and improve our Site
  • Comply with our legal obligations (tax, accounting, regulatory)
  • Prevent fraud and protect the security of our Site, our clients, and ourselves

4. Legal bases (for EU/UK visitors)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Consent - when you submit a contact form, sign up for marketing emails, or accept advertising and analytics tracking technologies where consent is required
  • Performance of a contract - when you are a client or are in the process of becoming a client
  • Legitimate interests - to operate our business, secure our Site, and respond to inquiries
  • Legal obligation - to meet our tax, accounting, and regulatory duties

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers - hosting (SiteGround and Vercel), email infrastructure (Google Workspace), payment processing (Stripe), form submission handling (Web3Forms), analytics (Google Analytics 4), and our own first-party pixel and conversion infrastructure (served on Vercel with event data stored in our Supabase database). These vendors are bound by confidentiality obligations and are only permitted to use the information to provide services to us.
  • Advertising platforms - we share advertising-measurement data with platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Microsoft. What we share is limited to hashed identifiers (one-way SHA-256 hashes of email and, if provided, phone number), the advertising click IDs you arrived with (for example li_fat_id, gclid, fbclid), and conversion events with their associated value. Why we share it: to measure and optimize the advertising campaigns you interacted with, including the paid campaigns you engage us to run ON BEHALF OF YOU AS A CLIENT, and to measure our own marketing on this Site. We do not share your raw (unhashed) email address, phone number, or the content of your inquiry with these platforms, and we do not sell your personal information.
  • Legal compliance - when required by law, court order, or government request, or to enforce our agreements or protect the rights, property, or safety of EVM, our clients, or others.
  • Business transfers - if EVM is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you and update this Policy if such a transfer occurs.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. Typical retention periods:

  • Inquiry forms: up to 24 months from your last contact, then deleted or anonymized
  • Client records: retained for the duration of our engagement plus 7 years for tax and accounting purposes
  • Server logs: 90 days
  • Pixel and analytics event data (page views, custom and conversion events, visitor ID, hashed technical signals): up to 25 months, then deleted or aggregated
  • Hashed conversion identifiers shared for advertising measurement: our copy is deleted or aggregated within 25 months; once shared, each advertising platform retains its copy under its own retention rules and privacy policy

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect, including:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS) across all pages of the Site
  • Payment processing handled entirely by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1) - your full card number never reaches EVM's servers
  • Access controls and authentication on our internal systems and admin accounts
  • Reputable third-party vendors (SiteGround, Google Workspace, Stripe) for hosting, email, and payments - each with their own security certifications
  • Routine review of vendor practices and prompt response to any reported security issues

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe there has been a security incident involving your information, please contact us immediately at effectivevisibilitymarketing@gmail.com.
